The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is committed to fostering an environment in which all members of our campus community are safe and free from Sexual Misconduct of any form, including but not limited to Sexual Assault, Dating Violence, Domestic Violence, and Stalking.

On May 6, 2020, the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) issued new regulations requiring colleges and universities to respond promptly and fairly to investigations of Sexual Misconduct under Title IX, a federal statute that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex or gender in activities or education programs being federally funded.

The University’s current Policy on Prohibited Sexual Conduct will undergo thorough review to ensure the requirements of the OCR’s new regulation are met. Our commitment to transparent and effective processes will ensure Sexual Misconduct is addressed in all aspects of our campus community.
