Effective September 30, 2015, the President approved for adoption on an interim basis, the Policy on Prohibited Sexual Conduct. This Interim Policy was developed through the year-long efforts of the Title IX Task Force, chaired by the Provost, and reflects current Federal and State mandates, as well as UL System and Board of Regents policies.

The Interim Policy on Prohibited Sexual Conduct replaces the following: (1) Faculty Handbook Document XI, University Policy Regarding Sexual Behavior and Sexual Harassment; (2) Staff Handbook, Policy Document III, University Policy Regarding Sexual Behavior and Sexual Harassment; and (3) Student Code of Conduct and Appeal Procedures, Section 19 Sexual Harassment. For purposes of hearings and appeals related to Prohibited Sexual Conduct, this Policy and its related procedures replace the Student Code of Conduct and Appeal Procedures, Section 7 and Section 18.1-18.4.

The Interim Policy on Prohibited Sexual Conduct is effective as of September 30, 2015 and will remain in effect until January 31, 2016 or until such time as a final Policy on Prohibited Sexual Conduct is adopted, whichever happens first.  A copy of the policy will be published on the University Policies Website at http://policies.louisiana.edu/titleix.
