As you may be aware, sexual assault impacts as many as 20-25% of female students and 3-6% of male students on college campuses each year. This means we all probably have at least one person in our lives who has experienced sexual assault, whether we know it or not. The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is strongly committed to addressing this issue, and we encourage our students to do their part to create a safe and healthy campus community.

There is now an easy opportunity for you to play a huge role in addressing this important issue. We are implementing a survey to help understand student perspectives and experiences related to sexual assault. By participating in this 30-minute survey, you will be providing critical insights to help protect and support UL Lafayette students.

The more students who participate, the more we will learn that can help us take on this issue in a meaningful way. Your response really will make a difference.

At the end of the survey, you will be provided access to a separate questionnaire to enter your name, email address, and CLID to enter into a lottery to win one of 50 Ragin’ Cajun Store gift cards valued at $50 for completing the survey. Please note that this information will always be stored in a separate and unlinked database and therefore will never be tied to your survey responses.

This procedure has been approved by the Institutional Review Board for UL Lafayette.
